Overview
Version 4 of the Spell API covers incantations, realms, familiars and secrets. Every endpoint is listed with its parameters, the permitted hand gestures and an example response, so you can see what a successful cast looks like before you attempt one.
Requests are authenticated with an API token sent in the Authorization header. Tokens are scoped to a single realm and expire on their own; request a new one rather than extending an old one. Hand gestures are optional for most endpoints, but required for anything that summons.
Version 4 removes the deprecated toad endpoints. Integrations that still call them receive a polite error and, for a limited time, a toad. The changelog lists every removed endpoint with its replacement and notes which responses changed shape.
