What the session covers
In this recorded session, we roll a weather enchantment out to one village, watch the forecast, and only then let it reach the rest of the valley. The enchantment was supposed to bring light sun. You can hear the drizzle start at minute twelve.
Canary casting sends a new incantation to a small share of its audience first, usually one percent, and compares what happens there with the rest of the realm. If the canary misbehaves, an automatic rollback restores the previous version before anyone outside the village notices.
We cover choosing a canary village, deciding which signals count as failure, and how long to wait before promoting a change realm-wide. Questions from the live audience, including one about umbrellas, are answered at the end.
